Recent research states that seven of the ten world’s polluted cities are in India.

Gurugram in New Delhi is the number one polluted metropolis in the World.

Out of 20 most polluted cities in the world, 18 were in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

A pure air contains the several mixtures of 78% of Nitrogen (N₂), 22% of oxygen (O₂), 1% of Argon (Ar), 0.04% of Carbon dioxide (CO₂) and some other gases When this mixture of air changes due to the carbon-di-oxide, Sulphur-di-oxide, smoke, some other emissions cause air pollution.

The air quality in the atmosphere is measured by a technique called PM_2.5.

PM_2.5 is called a particle matter with a diameter less than 2.5.

PM_2.5 are dangerous because smaller the size of the particle; more people tend to breathe which affects their respiratory systems.

Causes of air pollution in India
